Weekly Rehearsal Rubric

Submit once at the end of rehearsal on Friday.  If you were absent, include what day you missed and what material you missed in the "optional" text box.

    Rubric

    9/14/17 format
Grade yourself in the following areas using the following rubric using a numeric score.   Total your points (25 pts max) at the bottom to give your final weekly grade. Feel free to support your assessment in writing on the back side of this sheet.
    Always:  5  (A)       Usually:  4  (B)       Sometimes:  3 (C)       Rarely:  2 (D)       Never:  1 (E)

One point for each day, max 5.
I have a positive attitude in class and am actively working at being part of the ensemble.  My effort is 100% all of the time and am actively engaged even when the teacher is not working with my section.  I sit/stand with proper posture at all necessary times and set a good example for those around me. I arrive on time every day and am ready to sing/play when class begins.

One point for each day, max 5.
I have all my materials for every rehearsal, including, folder and book, music, pencil.

One point for each day, max 5.
I prepare my music at home so that I can contribute in rehearsal.  I may struggle with parts from time to time, but I don’t give up.  I keep practicing until I perfect it, and I do this as soon as possible.  I practice at home the things I made mistakes on in class so that I won’t make them the next rehearsal.

One point for each day, max 5.
I consistently think about what I should be doing to contribute to rehearsal.  I set-up quickly and start warming up with focus. I am responsible for my own behavior; avoiding side conversations so I don’t interrupt rehearsal flow.  I am a good example to others.

One point for each day, max 5.
I put all of my materials away properly every rehearsal.  I clean up my area after every rehearsal taking all my personal belongings with me when I leave.  I keep my locker/folder clean and stack my chair when directed.

The teacher always has final say in the weekly grade. Further points may be deducted for continued talking, misbehavior, tardies, and/or not meeting classroom expectations.
