COURSE DESCRIPTIONS
Women's Chorale (Honors Level) – Grade 9, Grade 10, Grade 11 and Grade 12

Credit: 1.0 – Full Year Course Prerequisites: Audition and Teacher Recommendation
Course Description: A vocal music course designed for more experienced singers. This group will study and perform high quality choral literature. This literature will be at an intermediate or advanced level and incorporate study of the five major music style periods. Advanced study in music theory, history and vocal technique will also be included in course work. Members will be expected to attend all performances and participate in fundraising activities. This group will perform at numerous events throughout the year. Individuals and small groups will have the opportunity to participate in Solo and Ensemble Festival and other musical activities. Individual study in voice is highly recommended.

Students will gain knowledge of proper vocal technique, as well as basic music theory. Members will be expected to attend all performances and participate in fundraising activities. Individuals and small groups will have the opportunity to participate in Solo and Ensemble Festival and other musical activities. Individual study in voice is encouraged.

2020 Spring Concert Recordings
Congratulations to the Richmond High School Chorale and Concert Choir! On Tuesday, March 10th, the Richmond MS Choir participated in the MSVMA District 16 Choir Festival at Lake Orion High School. The choir was awarded a "Good" rating from the panel of three adjudicators and earned a medal. The adjudicators judged the band in the categories of Tone, Pitch, Rhythm, Diction, Interpretation and Presentation. Congratulations to the students on their outstanding performance to conclude a great festival-preparation season!
